Your group’s names never reach us
Most Secret Santa sites ask for everyone’s email address, store the whole draw on a server and email out the results. That means a database of your family or colleagues sitting somewhere, waiting to leak.
This one works differently. The draw runs entirely inside your browser, and each person’s match is carried in the part of their link after the # — a fragment, which browsers are specified never to send to a server. There is no database, no email list and no record of who drew whom.
Each link also contains one single pairing and nothing else, so even a curious participant who pulls their own link apart learns only what they were already told.

Is this Secret Santa generator really free?
Yes — completely free, with no sign-up, no email address and no limit on how many draws you run. There's nothing to pay for and nothing to unlock.
Do participants need to download anything?
No. Each person gets a link that opens in any browser on any device. They tap to reveal their match and that's it — no app, no account, no sign-in.
Can I take part as the organiser without spoiling my own surprise?
Yes. After the draw, the matches stay hidden from you by default — you only see a “copy link” button next to each name. You can reveal everything if you're organising but not playing, but you have to choose to.
Can I stop couples from drawing each other?
Yes. Use the “keep two people apart” rules to block any pair. Add as many as you need, and the draw will respect all of them — or tell you plainly if your rules make a valid draw impossible.
Where are our names stored?
Nowhere. The whole draw runs inside your browser and nothing is sent to us or saved to a database. Each match is carried in the part of the link after the # symbol, which browsers never transmit to a server. Close the tab and it's gone — so send the links before you do.
What if someone loses their link?
Because nothing is stored, links can't be re-sent later. Keep the tab open until everyone has theirs, or simply run the draw again and send out fresh links.
How many people can take part?
Up to 60 in a single draw, which covers most families, teams and friendship groups.
